Yahoo’s It’s You! Mark receives Office Action

On June 18, 2010, Yahoo! received an Office Action for the trademark filing for IT’S YOU under application 85005198.

Its You!
Its You!

The Trademark Office has raised objections to the wording of the description of services. Specifically in Class 041, Yahoo! must provide the specific service involved in locating other game players.  Yahoo! must also specify whether “shows” and “programs” are television or radio.

According to the Trademark Office, the applicant should also clarify that “television listings” refers to television scheduling.  Further the applicant must specify that “musical performances” are non-downloadable.  The applicant must also provide that the “talk shows” are ongoing television shows and must also specify how the interviews and previews are being broadcast.  Additionally, the subject matter of the “multimedia materials” must be specified and that content must be a Class 41 subject matter to keep the ID in Class 41.  Finally that applicant must specify that the videos are pre-recorded and the subject matter of the video must be provided.
In addition to this Office Action, Yahoo! received the first Office Action for I’M HOME under application 85020419.

Im home
Im home

Again as in the above Office Action, the United States Patent and Trademark Office has raised objections to the wording of the description of services.  The refusal is almost identical to the IT’S YOU mark.
